    Engine Mount....

The GZ engines do not readily fit up to a GSR40 chassis..

Due to there extra bulk, there are a few differences..
The 4 base mounting bolts have a different step height, than a G43L.
If the engine were mounted in the original chassis bolt holes, the sprocket would be 18mm nearer the tyre..

    The Solution....

Manifold air deflector, trimmed around the aluminium air deflector.

Carb jet restrictors, trimmed off to allow complete adjustment.

Great shine in that finish, the mirror finish on that surface is smooth enough to tell that i have the exact same watch a one of my walls ( Ikea).

To reduce the overall weight, and to stop it snapping the carb off the manifold...

The air filter cover was milled to death.......

The face and side cheeks are 1.3mm thick..
The top and bottom with the mounting lugs are 3mm thick.
Inside the internal cavity is a small narrow web, to stop the filter medium creeping in to the cover.
Baffle tubes at varying lengths to reduce intake noise..

Charles or George may be of better service, but for that particular swarf manual pickup with some bluetack gum works best.

    Poor Performance..

It would be fair to say....
This year has not gone according to plan..

After breaking my ankle last year, I ended up 5 months behind..
Once the weather picked up, it allowed me to start catching up..

Of course.... The latest Black Cherry Project, had to take a back seat.
Nothing has moved for 3 months.

Coupled with massive pain in the bum computer problem.

It has not been a wasted time.
I managed to lay a granite patio.
Re-design a Lucas Pi fuel pump.
Fill my wood store to the brim.
Develop a Koni front strut for my car.
Prep a ton of stuff for Ebay sales.

Black Cherry Geo.... will get finished..
Most of the parts are prepped ready.

The Black Cherry Geo 50 is exactly where I left 6 months ago.....
    But with more dust...

    It will get finished soon...
I guess I could put it in the 2018 build offs...
