    ● Wild West Fest 2017 ●

That time of year again, so time for another picture dump thread.

The last two weeks for me has been a real b-otch.

I was putting my engine back together after a thorough cleansing. Freshly ported cylinder and piston, trying something a little different.

I go to mount my flywheel with my impact, and it sinks down to the fan housing adapter. I knew what happened, **** my life.

So I get on DDM to order an $80 RC flywheel, and see that the standard RC flywheels are on sale for $18. So I buy two, in case I **** one up cutting the taper and keyway. I would rather of had a lathe, but I proudly nailed it first shot. I am extremely pleased I was able to tackle this one, saved me $62. 🤘🏽

    Alright, I'm back in business!

So this past weekend, I only have Sunday to do some test runs and pack my shtuff.

Throw on my gear and I head on down the highway. The 60 seems to be running great, so I lean her out a smidge. Of course, I was assuming I was still at 1.50 on both needles. I had completely forgotten that I took it down to 1.25 at my house.

With that said, can anyone guess what happened next? 10 miles in I pin the throttle, it spools up quick, bogs and goes "BOOOOOOOOM!!!!".

You guessed it. I have been working on two strokes (engines in general) off and on for 20+ years. The first time I ever locked one up, unintentionally. Again, **** my life

    Piston is done!!

As I am standing on the side of the road waiting for my ride, XLR8R get my text about me blowing my shit up. He calls, we laugh, and being the kind hearted gentlemen he is. He gives me one of his pistons that I have in my shop.

The cylinder had a ball point pen size area of plating missing. Shit buffed out with some 300, 600, 800 then 1200 grit.
I get the piston cut to the new specs, assemble the top end. The beast fires in three pulls, I am ****in stoked.

As I let her idle out, I inspect my precious..................the cylinder base is leaking. I check the head bolts again, one is stripped. **** my life..........again.

So now it is a mad dash to tear my engine down completely, tore the Pro 60 engine down as well to steal the freshly done lower end.

I get the engine to 80% assembly Sunday night, finished on Monday evening after a 11 hour day at work.

So now Tuesday evening I am packing, and the Canadian shoots a text he is already on the road.......... this ****er is way toooo early. 😂

He pulls in at 7:00 a.m. this morning and joins me on some last minute errands after we enjoy breakfast together. With plenty of time, we hit my shop for some assembly and ball bustin.......no homo.

And while he is wrenching, I plastered his back windows with stickers.........

How the hell did you cut that taper without a lathe? Reamer or something? Nice pedo patch btw. I tried to rock a soul patch by itself and my GF and her friends made fun of me for a month.

I'm cheap, and resourceful. Took me about a half hour on the manual mill.

I can't grow anything but that little patch, brown people problems.

    Firsties..............

It was time to let it go, 18 years of having my hawk.

Slitz, XLR8R and myself just left Toy Makers shop. I would post some pics, but they are classified.

We appreciate the invite, and I really appreciate the rotary table TM. Thanks for the hospitality and the grand tour. Keep up the amazing work chief!! 🤘🏽

Went on a ride this morning, and burn the cylinder up again.
I did bring the Hell Quad engine, so I got them swapped out. Just went on a ride, and running just as good as when I left Arizona.

Enjoying all the shenanigans at Push's house right now............

Mrs. And Mr. Green made it out, always great to see them. Dawman rolled in, as well as Mr. Sub. MR. SUB!!!!
