    Goped Sport Gas Tank Removal

    Hello!,

I need to remove my gas tank to install a new spindle and gas lines but there is a problem. I can get the two lower bolts out no problem but the top one wont "catch". Is the top bolt the exact same ones as the bottom ones? If they are I think this top bolt is stripped. Is it possible to replace gas lines/fuel filter/spindle without removing the gas tank?

    Thank you

Someone tightened it too much and you can’t get your socket over the nut. Just push really hard before turning and it will catch the nut.

With an M6 thread pitch (what the studs are), you can have a nut that receives a 10mm or 11mm socket. So check that as well.

But I believe Evo is probably correct.

The bolt is stripped. I have tried with force and different socket sizes and no way this thing is getting out. Is it possible to change fuel lines/install a new spindle with the tank on or do I have to literally rip the tank off now and also get a new one.

    Thank you

So you aren’t able to turn the nut? Or the nut just pins and won’t loosen?

    Correct tank must come off
