    Started deano'ing my gas cap.

White lightning in a cup. Drop in gas cap.

Less than a minute later it started to bubble. I can be mesmerizing...

After 25 minutes, the color starts to show it is fading and the GL starts to turn red.

    .....more to come.

Looks like you need to do a couple fresh drops. Coming along.

Did you try that tooth brush while it was in there? For me my hands rubbing it or a brush helped take off the color.

After an hour, the top shows better results than the bottom/inside.

I dumped the old, red GL and gave the cap a fresh batch to soak in.

I am not using the 'commercial strength' Grease Lightning that PGM showed in the first post. I had an older, quart size, spray bottle, so since I had it, I used it.

I noticed I could use my finger and wipe off some of the red. I did not use the tooth brush...yet. I don't know if using a smaller container is hindering the process, but slow and steady is fine by me. I'm getting paid at work while I do this.

I gave it another 30 minutes in the fresh GL. I didn't want to leave it in any longer. The tooth brush didn't want to take off as much as my fingers did.

The final product isn't as good as PGM's, but this was my first time. I also think the 'Commercial Grade" might work better.

A bit of sanding and polishing to finish it when I get home from work.
