    Just a reminder...

Going to add notes as I build.

SPEED WOBBLE CAN BE CAUSED BY:

    1. The brake rotor rubbing against the pads. (When your hydros aren't aligned and the wheel doesn't spin freely)
    2. Misaligned race pole. (If it isn't dead center, even 10 degrees off can introduce a small area of correction to keep moving forward straight)
    3. Race pole slips on FTG. (Most notably styles like the pro pole which if aren't clamped down hard enough, can move around)
    4. FTG wedge/bolt not tight enough.
    5. Tires filled with too much air. Example: Putting 45-50psi / the max in Kenda tires. Tires start becoming slick/glide on the road, easy for them to loose traction while in a speed wobble/cause one in the first place.
    6. Misaligned handlebars. Same deal as the race pole.
    7. Improper chain tension/lube/etc. After backing off WOT from full speed, the chain/engine area can feel like it's kinking.
    8. Improper foot stance! Stance is everything.
    9. Wearing the wrong type of shoes with no grip on the bottom.

SLICKS VS AIRTIRE. In case anyone was wondering what the two weigh when compared...

Slicks with hubs: 11.0375 lbs (*With 68T gear weighed 2x + 2 accidental extra spacer adapters)

Air tire w/standard Skopod setup: 9.1125 lbs (*Without 68T gear)

Difference: Only 1.925 LBS. (Minus extra gear + missing gear - 2 extra spacers) I'd say it's close to ~1.5 LBS difference.

That's less than 2 cans of soda.

Awesome build bud! Its been really cool to be able to see this build for as long as its been going on. Even better to learn a bit.

In my experience so far there isn't a lot of info out there on Peds so its really cool being new read threads like this. Most of this may be way over my head, but again its awesome just to learn.

    Very nice man!

I'm curious about the deal next to the spark plug there. Is that a purge valve or compression relief valve? If it is I've seen them mentioned elswhere but I'm still not sure what they are needed for.

    Compression release.

The G62 motor has WAY more compression (63cc) than say the 460 (46cc) or a G230RC motor (23cc), etc...

It makes starting the motor a major pain in the butt! But a compression release saves the day...

When the compression release is pushed down, you can choke/pull a few times with no resistance, turn off the choke and pull again with no resistance... Then finally pull up the release and get normal resistance and... pop! It starts like a breeze...

Without one, you can shatter those metal RC starter pawls in the pull start. Or... Rip your arm off.
