Not sure if this will see powder. I may just bust out the spray can. Seeing as it's a quad, I expect the paint to see a fair amount of scratches.

Spray paint can look just as good as PC, as long as you know what you're doing. Plus, if I use spray paint, it isn't such a hassle to do touch-ups or repaint.

ur crazy and powder is really cheap...place by my house would do it for like 100$ any color, candy metal flake..anything. it would be more expensive to spray paint it yourself if you consider cost of paint, primer and clear coat...and the most expensive part TIME

LoL Would cost like $5 here. 3 cans of spray paint for $5, bought some to do my ped bike.

But if someone can afford PC do it will last so much longer and not chip easy.

Spray paint is much cheaper and more accessible (at least for me) than a PC job, but we will see. I can always spray it and if I don't like it, I'll look to PC.
Looking at the quad as it is now, most of the PC is scraped off of the bottom and chipping away even more. These quads sit very low. I'm not sure if I want to dump $150 into a nice PC job that's just going to get scraped off in a few rides if I'm not careful.

There is no question that powder coat is more durable than paint, but it is also more expensive. I recently paid north of $200 to get my GTR frame (6 pieces total) powder coated, and I imagine a quad frame might be even more. But.....powder coat is not immune to chips or scratches. So if you are comfortable painting your quad...Go for it and use your build funds for go fast parts.

Yea, I am wanting to put the funds towards a new 460 engine to put on it. Though, I want to see how the Gizmo full mod RCMK runs first and then go from there.

I spray painted my ped yellow and it still is holding up really good for 1 1/2. It was farm equipment paint.
