Jason's Iron Quad Build-Off Progress Thread

Recently picked up my first Go-Quad from Slitz with a few other goodies for it. Unfortunately it was not a live axle frame like I wanted. So my first plan of action was to get that changed. I ordered a few parts from Go-Ped to make the conversion. They arrived in less than 2 weeks, which was surprising since I assume it's not a request they receive very often.
After I picked up the quad I made a stop at Fmfb's to cut off the old axle, install the new axle tube, and pick up one of his HD mounts (thanks again Tom). A couple hours later it was finished and now I have a live axle quad to work with.
This will be my entry for the quad build-off. Just getting started.

    Live axle conversion. Start to...

    Finish.

Very well done! I'm sure we will see others do this as well now!

    Great idea!

Thanks Arick. All you have to do is call Go-Ped ask for the live axle conversion.

Of course the offer still stands. Just let me know when you're ready.

Avid BB7. I tried installing it yesterday but, unfortunately things were not lining up.

Did you use extra spacers from the wheel to rotor? I don't remember exactly what I used but it was close to 3/4".

The caliper is not close, enough to rotor. I will post pics later. But imagine if you were looking at the quad from the rear, the caliper is diagonal \\, that way.

Yes, I used 1/2" in nylon spacers and ordered aluminum spacers. However, I think I need to add washers between the rotor and the beveled Ada sprocket spacers, since the rotor isn't thick enough to fill the entire gap. I am hoping that adding the extra washers, along with smoothing out the sharp edges on the rotor, will fix the issue.

Added another mount to the pipe. Moving on to the steering column.
